Mukhtar Shahid
My name is Mukhtar Shahid. I was born in a Muslim family on 15 April 1977. I completed my Bachelor of Commerce degree examination in the year 1997. I have converted from Islam to Christianity and would like to share my testimony for the glory of our risen Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.
Last year I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. Everybody wonders how can a Muslim man leave his religion and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour.
In the hospital where I was working as a supervisor there was one guy who was working under me, he was a very nice person and faithful in his work that’s why I liked him. One day I asked him about his religion. I told him, you are Christian but you perform your duty so faithfully, there are other Christians who are working under me but they don't do their work as you do. I was really impressed by him and I ask him what the commandments of his religion were. He told me same as in Islam, I was really surprised to hear that.
One day I asked him to give me any one of his books to read. He gave me a book written by a converted Muslim pastor. That book was really good, in that book the Pastor compared Islam with Christianity.
There were three examples that really touched me.
The first was that the Muslim prophet Mohammed says to his family if you sin I will never be able to give you surety of going to heaven. But Jesus Christ Son of God died for all. When I was thinking on that point I was really upset and I said to myself ‘you believe in that man who has no authority to give you the surety of heaven?’ but the Son of God sets all human beings free, if any one believes in Him. In the quran they say that He has the spirit of God, but don’t believe in Him and I’ve already read the quran.
The second example was every time they announce on TV saying send him your blessing for your salvation, and they say a prayer ‘oh God give him that place that you promised him’. I felt odd about this.
The third example is that in the first chapter of quran it is written that book (Bible) is forever true. That means that book is not the quran, its shows that the bible is true not the quran. If quran is true why they not write this book.
There are many things other than this but I think that’s enough. After reading the book given by my colleague from work place I prayed ‘Oh Lord I am human, I don't know what is right and what is wrong you show me the truth and God gave me an answer.’ He said to me ‘my son Christ is truth he can give you all thing if you trust in him.’ After that when my family and relatives learnt that I started to attend Church they announced in the mosque that if any man is able to murder me or shoot me to death they would forgive that person. But my God was with me and forever will be.
One night as I was returning from my friend’s house, there were three men hiding in the cotton field, they wanted to kill me. When they saw me they suddenly came out and shouted Hey man stop! You are not a Muslim anymore and that’s why we want to kill you. I told them that life and death is in the hands of God if this is the last moment of my life I am happy to die for Him. After that one man pressed the gun against my head and said to me now nobody can save you. But when he tried to shoot me the gun was not working, I knew at that moment Jesus was with me. After that they beat me up but they were not able to kill me. After an hour I went to my friends house. I told him about all that happened that night. He told me, its better if you go into hiding. So now I am into hiding from the last six months, now my family, friends and my all is Our Lord Jesus Christ.
My greatest desire is to serve the Lord as much as I can and I hope one day I'll be able to do that.
My heart voice: May I never boast of anything except the cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

ISAIAH,7;14
“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the Virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and call His name Immanuel.”
MATTHEW:1 :23
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
Quran - Family of Imaran 41, 42
The angel said O ,Mary lo allah allah chosen thee and made thee pure and hath preferred thee above all the women of creation. He said my Lord appoint a token form {the angel said} the token unto speak a mankind and three days except by sign Remember the Lord much and praise him in the early hours of night and morning.
LUKE 1: 30-31, 34-35
Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God. “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.” “He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.”Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” And the angel answered and said to her, “ The Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you: therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”
Quran - XIX MARY 20 21
He said so, it will be the Lord saith It is easy for me and that we may make of Him a revelation for mankind and a mercy from us and it is a thing ordained.

Or lest ye should say If the scripture had been revealed unto us, we surely had been better guided than are they, Now hath there come unto you a clear roof from your Lord a guidance and a mercy and who doth greater wrong than he who denieth the revelations of allah and truth away from those who turn away from our revelations as evil doom because of their aversion.
MARK 15:25-27
Now it was the third hour, and they crucified Him. And the inscription of His accusation was written above. THE KING OF THE JEWS. With Him they also crucified two robbers, one on His right and the other on His left.

Peace on me the day I was born, and the day I die and the day I 'll raised alive such was Jesus, son of Mary. A statement of the truth concerning which they doubt.
I Thank God for showing me the truth and saving me. I praise God for my friend who gave me this wonderful book, and prayer that God will continue to bless him and the author of that book.,
